Welcome to St. Egbert Catholic Church

St Egbert Church St. Egbert Catholic Church was established in Morehead CIty, North Carolina in 1929 by Father Egbert Albert when there were few Catholics in coastal North Carolina.  As the parish grew, the old church became too small to the house the community.  A new church was designed and build under Monsignor Louis Morton's leadership.  It was expanded by Monsignor Francis Moeslein and now has Moeselein Hall for fellowship.   Moselein Hall has a fully equipped kitchen and is used regularly to prepare meals for parish events.  Today the parish has over 800 families practicing their faith and is growing.

Please come join us in our worship.  Lapsed Catholics are urged to register at the office and rejoin us at Mass.   Non Catholics are invited to join us and find out more about Catholicism.  You may join  The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program to become a Catholic.

 Lenten Change for Change

Again this year in the spirit of Lenten almsgiving we will have a Parish wide campaign to collect change to help fund local and national service organizations.  It can be surprising how much a few coins can do to help those in need.

This years' collection will be divided and donated between our local Martha's Mission food pantry and Catholic Relief Services "Operation Rice Bowl".

We ask that each week during lent everyone collect their change and bring it to our Lenten Simple Suppers, or deposit it in the collection display in the Agape Room in between the weekend Masses.  Let's work together this Lent to make our pocket change make a positive change in the world.
