Welcome to St. Egbert Catholic Church
St. Egbert Catholic Church was established in Morehead CIty, North Carolina in 1929 by Father Egbert Albert when there were few Catholics in coastal North Carolina. As the parish grew, the old church became too small to the house the community. A new church was designed and build under Monsignor Louis Morton's leadership. It was expanded by Monsignor Francis Moeslein and now has Moeselein Hall for fellowship. Moselein Hall has a fully equipped kitchen and is used regularly to prepare meals for parish events. Today the parish has over 800 families practicing their faith and is growing.
Please come join us in our worship. Lapsed Catholics are urged to register at the office and rejoin us at Mass. Non Catholics are invited to join us and find out more about Catholicism. You may join The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program to become a Catholic.
