Welcome to St. Egbert Catholic School
What a delightful treasure you will find located at 1705 Evans Street in the heart of Morehead City, NC! Founded in 1956, St. Egbert Catholic School is a Pre-K through Grade 5 elementary school with a mission dedicated to educating the total child—mind, body, and spirit.
Through a tradition of high expectations in the areas of citizenship, academia, and teaching, St. Egbert School equips its students with a solid foundation for a successful future. Supplemental classes in Art, Music, Religion, and 5-days-per-week PE, enhance the quality of education provided. Daily recess also gives our students time to take a break, enjoy a snack, and socialize with friends. State-of-the-art technology, including interactive whiteboards in our K-5 classrooms, one-to-one Chromebooks for grades two through five, 6 Chromebooks in first, five Chromebooks in kindergarten and two Chromebooks in PreK, document readers, and wireless internet access provide students with unparalleled exposure and access to today’s technology.
Additionally, we are proud to serve a diverse student population of more than 115 children from families of a variety of religious, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. In-house scholarships, as well as the new North Carolina Opportunity Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can read more about the NC scholarships at www.pefnc.org. Remember, a Catholic school education for your children is one investment that will provide dividends for life!
We also offer an after school care program. St. Egbert After School (SEAS) is available to our school children and currently is open from 2:45-5:30. Please look under the Quick Links tab for more information.
