St. Egbert Catholic School Program

We strive to blend the continuity of our program with what happens during the regular school hours at St. Egbert. The children will be held to the same standards of behavior, with the added bonus of more free time inside and out. After school hours can make for a really long day, so we will encourage students to play hard while outside. We provide homework help for our 3rd-5th grade students, but parents of these independent learners are expected to check homework and sign the student planners daily. Please note: Our K-2 students have not developed the  individual learning skills that are needed to complete homework independently. If they are assigned homework, they require one-on-one assistance and are expected to complete their assignments with their parents.

Regular hours are from 2:40 - 5:30 PM. On noon dismissal days SEAS hours are 12:00 - 5:30 PM (be sure to pack a lunch for noon dismissal days!)

Each afternoon we provide a snack, spend time outside (if weather permits), and 3-5 work on homework. We will also spend time playing games, reading, and various inside activities while encouraging each other to show positive, friendly attitudes! If it is really pleasant outside we may work on homework in the wide open spaces of the outdoors. Rainy days and days when it gets darker earlier, we may need to work inside longer.

When you drive up to the front of the building, please check the front door of the school for the GREEN SIGN: if you see the sign hanging on the front door, we are OUTSIDE and you will need to drive around back to the playground on Shepard Street for pick-up. If someone other than a parent or guardian is to pick up a child, please write a note to let us know who it will be and remind them to have a photo ID with them.
