Sixth Grade

Catherine Norris

Catherine Norris is in her first year at St. Egbert.  She teaches sixth grade science, writing, and grammar. Catherine has her bachelors in Biology from Meredith College, her certification in Middle Grades Science 6-9 and K-6 Elementary Science, and a Master in School Administration from NCSU. She has taught science in both public and independent schools. She has also spent four years coordinating the middle school science program for Wake County Public School System in NC. Over the years, she has taught science to preschoolers through adults. She loves science and has a passion for teaching.  When not in the classroom, Catherine enjoys reading, water coloring, and baking.  She has two girls who love reading, singing, and performing in musicals.  Catherine and her husband, Travis, have fun traveling, spending time on the water, and hanging out with their girls.

Why do you want to teach at St. Egbert?

I am excited about opening sixth grade at St. Egbert and love working in a school that puts God first.
