Flag Pole Fridays

Every Friday morning, before the start of the school day, students, teachers, and staff at St. Egbert Catholic School come together for Flag Pole Fridays—a special time of prayer, reflection, and unity held around the school flagpole. Led by students and supported by faculty, this simple yet meaningful tradition gives our school community the opportunity to begin the day grounded in faith and patriotism. Together, we pray for our school, our families, our nation, and the needs of others, lifting our intentions up to God in a spirit of peace and hope. Flag Pole Fridays are a visible reminder of the power of prayer and the strength of the community. Whether it’s a short Scripture reading, a decade of the Rosary, or an intention offered for someone in need, these moments of collective prayer set a positive tone for the day ahead. As we stand together beneath the flag, we are reminded of our shared values—faith, respect, service, and love—and our calling to live them out in both word and action.

Families are always welcome to join us as we begin each Friday morning with hearts open and hands folded in prayer.
